“Border 2” Welcomes Diljit Dosanjh to the Star-Studded Cast
New Delhi: The highly anticipated Indian war film “Border 2” continues to make headlines as it assembles an impressive star cast. The latest addition to the ensemble is the renowned singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, who joins the previously announced actors Varun Dhawan and Sunny Deol. Deol, who will be playing the lead role, took to Instagram on Friday to share the exciting news, welcoming Dosanjh to the battalion of “Border 2.”
Dosanjh, known for his versatile talent, expressed his honor and excitement to be a part of the powerful team, paying respect to the soldiers whose stories the film will portray. His involvement further elevates the anticipation surrounding the film, which is a sequel to the iconic “Border.”
Earlier, Varun Dhawan had also shared his enthusiasm for joining the project, recalling his childhood memories of watching the first installment of the film and the sense of national pride it evoked. Dhawan, who will be working alongside his hero Sunny Deol, expressed his eagerness to bring a valiant soldier’s story to the screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film.
“Border 2” is produced by renowned filmmakers J.P. Dutta, who directed the original “Border,” and his daughter Nidhi Dutta, along with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the T-Series banner. The film is written by Nidhi Dutta and will be directed by Anurag Singh.
According to reports, the story of “Border 2” is set during the Battle of Longewala, and filming is expected to commence in October of this year. The much-awaited film is scheduled for a grand release on January 23, 2026, and is expected to showcase the valour and sacrifices of India’s armed forces.
With its stellar cast and powerful subject matter, “Border 2” is already generating immense buzz in the Bollywood industry and among fans alike. The addition of Diljit Dosanjh to the cast has further heightened the excitement, and audiences are eagerly awaiting to witness the epic war drama unfold on the big screen in 2026.
