However, it seems that Johnny Depp Disney Comeback is hard. As per Johnny’s representative, the actor is not in the mood to collaborate with Disney after they reportedly ignored and stop talking to him, when his ex-wife Amber Heard made allegations of domestic abuse against him in an op-ed.
It was in the year 2003 when Johnny collaborated with Walt Disney Pictures to play the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the film series Pirates of the Caribbean (2003–2017). The same year he was titled “World’s Sexiest Man” by People.
He gained global recognition and praise for his iconic performance as Captain Jack Sparrow and even won many awards like a Screen Actor’s Guild Award and MTV Movie Award for his amazing acting.
It was in the year 2006 when Johnny reprised the role of Jack Sparrow in the Pirates sequel which saw a major success at the box office. He even voiced the video game version of Pirates of the Caribbean. In fact, he has been part of all 5 series of Pirates of the Caribbean from 2003–2017. All five series earned a whopping collection at the box office.
However, after playing the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow for consecutive five installments of Pirates of the Caribbean over 14 years, Disney decided to cut all ties with Johnny Depp and confirmed that the actor would not be part of the upcoming installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
This happened after Johnny Depp’s former wife Amber Heard accused him of domestic abuse. During the court trial, Johnny admitted that he was supposed to be the part of 6th installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but his ex-wife’s allegations caused him to get removed from the movie. He further said that he would not make a comeback even if Disney offer him a truckload of cash.
Now after a couple of years, Disney has approached Johnny Depp to play the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the 6th installment of the film series.
